We are a technology-driven firm. We embrace new ways of doing things instead of shunning them away.
Cloud Based Software
We often recommend or require that new clients utilize a cloud based accounting software.
If you are not currently in the cloud, we will take the lead on converting your legacy desktop software and converting it to a cloud-based accounting software. We will also train you or your staff on the new software.
Payroll
Our firm does NOT offer payroll services so you must employ an outside payroll service (i.e. ADP, Paychex, Gusto). We will require that you give us electronic access to your payroll records.
Sales Tax
We do offer monthly and quarterly sales tax filing and payment services. If you choose this service, we will need full access to your P.O.S. system as well as all monthly bank statements.
Paperless Initiative
We require pdf copies of all monthly bank and credit card statements that run through your business. You can upload these to our secure portal each month or provide us with usernames and passwords for each account. Our office is entirely paperless so you must embrace this to work with our firm.
Electronic processing
We e-file all tax returns and other filings (when available) Paper tax returns are frowned upon in our office. We also ACH debit most taxes due with your tax returns as most tax agencies no longer accept paper checks.
Fees for Businesses
Generally, our fees for most engagements are monthly fixed subscriptions. We require that this monthly fixed subscription fee be ACH debited each month from your corporate bank account. If there is a service that is not included in our written engagement, we will notify you before work begins as it will be billed at our hourly rates which will be in addition to your monthly fixed subscription fee.
Fees for Personal Taxes
Personal tax preparation is unique to everyone hence our fees cannot be fixed. We will provide an estimate of what we expect them to be. Our fee is billed to you electronically at the time of the service and is due upon receipt. At this time, we do not charge a payment processing fee hence we encourage all clients to pay our fees electronically. It is also the safest means of payment these days.
